Snow plows were out removing the snow on Saturday morning in Rockville Centre. According to Mayor Francis X. Murray, the village's Department of Public Works is responsible for plowing a total of 53 miles of roads, 30 parking fields and all village-owned sidewalks.

Rockville Centre, along with the rest of Long Island, was hit with heavy snowfall and high winds on Saturday morning. Snow is expected to accumulate to between 8 and 11 inches with wind gusting at 45 mph. A winter storm warning from the National Weather Service is in effect until 7 p.m. Saturday night. more
