Tech-savvy teens tutor seniors
A group of technically talented teens put their gadget mastery to good use at the Baldwin Public Library on March 2, tutoring a gathering of seniors on the proper use of their gizmos and gear. College Board honors Calhoun senior
Sara Karol, a Calhoun High School senior, was recently selected as a scholar in the 2010-11 National Hispanic Recognition Scholars Program. The National Hispanic Recognition Program, established in 1983, is a College Board program that provides national recognition of the exceptional academic achievements of Hispanic high school seniors and identifies them for postsecondary institutions. more

Joshua Golub, a Calhoun High School senior, was recently named a semifinalist in the 2010-11 Coca-Cola Scholars Program. About 2,100 high school seniors, out of 71,000 applications, are in the running for $3 million in scholarships offered by the program. Two hundred and fifty finalists will be chosen to travel to Atlanta in April for a final interview. more
