Using maps that were more than 50 years old, Oceanside is separated into 14 sections, or map areas, with a plow typically assigned to each. Complaints from five of the map areas made up more than half of the total complaints for the hamlet. The roads marked in red are those that were constructed after the maps were created, however the Highway Department reported that many are private and fall outside of its jurisdiction.
