On a foggy Tuesday evening at Coopers Bluff, oyster enthusiasts, along with Town of Oyster Bay Supervisor Joseph Saladino, gathered for the Oyster Eating and Oyster Shucking contest, a popular event at the annual Oyster Festival, which traditionally takes place outdoors in the heart of the hamlet. Covid-19 has led to a different festival this year, the 37th, forcing organizers to change the format to a virtual one.
