Devon O’Shaughnessy, of Merrick, a senior at Kellenberg Memorial High School, has signed a letter of intent to play women’s lacrosse for the Drexel University Dragons next year. Receiving both academic and athletic scholarships to the school, O’Shaughnessy plans to major in biology in hopes of becoming a physician’s assistant. more
In her years at Kennedy High School in Bellmore, Merokean Sara Rosenzweig grew accustomed to finishing first among Cougar cross-country and track runners. She twice qualified for the New York State High School Cross-Country Championship, and ended her high school career last spring by capturing the Nassau County steeplechase title. more
