The residents of Jefferson Street in Baldwin hosted their annual block party blast early this year. Instead of the usual “end-of-summer” Labor Day celebration, they enjoyed an early July festival of fun that included great food, rides, water slides, entertainment and, for the first time, a mechanically bull that even the young children could ride!
Families set up their tables individually, some with sports, Hawaiian or other fun summer themes — but everyone came together on the street “dance floor” when the D.J. started to spin some lively tunes.
