From late winter through the holidays, each event offers a snapshot of the hamlet’s character and civic pride.
June through August
As summer approaches, Music in the Park returns to Silver Lake Park, offering a series of live performances in a scenic outdoor setting. Organized in partnership with the Baldwin Civic Association and the Baldwin Historical Society, the concerts provide an opportunity for residents to unwind and connect while enjoying local and regional musicians.

Concerts scheduled for July 21 at Baldwin Park, July 29 at Coes Neck Park and Aug. 7 at Baldwin Park feature food trucks and open-air performances. The series extends the summer concert experience across multiple neighborhoods, encouraging broad community participation.
September
In early fall, residents turn their attention to one of Baldwin’s most creative traditions: the Milburn Creek Cardboard Boat Race. The event challenges participants to design and build boats using cardboard, duct tape and glue before launching them into the creek. The result is a mix of inventive craftsmanship and playful competition, drawing both participants and spectators.
October
October stands out as one of the busiest months on Baldwin’s calendar. The Grand Baldwin Festival transforms the municipal parking lot behind the Baldwin Public Library into a bustling marketplace featuring local vendors, food trucks, live music and art displays. The free event draws families and visitors for a daylong celebration of community spirit.
Also in October, the Baldwin Civic Association hosts its annual Oktoberfest at the Baldwin Community Garden. With seasonal foods, games and craft beverages, the event blends autumn traditions with a welcoming neighborhood atmosphere.
December
The year concludes with the Baldwin Chamber of Commerce’s annual tree lighting ceremony. The event marks the start of the holiday season, bringing residents together for a festive gathering that highlights Baldwin’s strong sense of community.
February
The year begins with a popular culinary tradition at The Irish Pub, where the annual chili cook-off draws participants and attendees from across the area. The event features amateur and experienced cooks competing for bragging rights while guests sample a wide range of recipes. The gathering has become a midwinter staple, offering a warm and social setting during the colder months.
May
Spring brings a focus on outdoor activity and family engagement. The Baldwin Civic Association’s Bike Rodeo and Parade, set for May 16, 2026, invites residents to take to the streets on two wheels. Beginning at Baldwin Harbor Town Park, the event includes routes for children and adults, along with participation from Nassau County police officers. Organizers emphasize bicycle safety alongside recreation, making it both an educational and festive occasion.
Later in the month, the Baldwin Civic Association Food Truck Festival on May 22, 2026, adds a culinary highlight to the season. The event showcases a variety of food vendors offering diverse cuisines, drawing residents together for an evening of dining, music and community interaction.
Together, these events illustrate Baldwin’s commitment to fostering connection and celebrating shared experiences.
