The Baldwin Chamber of Commerce, joined by Nassau County legislators and Town of Hempstead officials, welcomed a wave of new businesses during a daylong ribbon-cutting tour on March 26, highlighting continued growth and investment in the community.

Nassau County Legislature’s, who both represent parts of Baldwin, Debra Mulé and Scott M. Davis, were joined by Hempstead Town Supervisor John Ferretti and Town Clerk Kate Murray, along with chamber members and local leaders, as they formally introduced eight new businesses across the community

The tour began at 10:30 a.m. at The Milk Stop on Grand Avenue, a longtime staple that continues to serve residents as Baldwin’s only drive-thru convenience store. From there, officials moved to The Event Design Studio LI on Milburn Avenue, a boutique space offering custom decor, rentals and small-scale event hosting.

By late morning, the group arrived at Painting with a Twist on Merrick Road, where art and social gatherings intersect through guided paint-and-sip classes designed for everything from date nights to group events. Just down the road, they stopped at Cecere Fullerton Funeral Home, a longstanding service provider in the community.

The afternoon portion of the tour shifted back to Grand Avenue, beginning with ZNR Day Care & Preschool, which focuses on early childhood education in a nurturing, family-centered environment.

At 1 p.m., the group visited two businesses operating from the same location — Suite 1937 and Victory Point Express. Suite 1937 offers an intimate, upscale event space for celebrations and gatherings, while Victory Point Express provides junk removal services throughout Nassau and Suffolk counties, helping residents and businesses manage cleanouts efficiently.

The final stop of the day was The Luxe Haus Salon & Spa, where beauty services ranging from hairstyling to spa treatments are offered in a full-service, community-focused setting.

“Baldwin’s entrepreneurial spirit is blossoming, and these ribbon cuttings are a demonstration of how the community is revitalizing and reinventing itself for the future,” Mulé said. “Thank you to the Baldwin Chamber for your leadership and all of the business owners for such a warm welcome — your spirit is what makes Baldwin so great!”

“Every business that opens its doors is the realization of someone’s dreams and visions, and their efforts are at the core of what makes our communities strong,” Davis added. “It was a pleasure to join Legislator Mulé, the Baldwin Chamber of Commerce, and our local community leaders in celebrating the grand openings of so many exciting new ventures — we look forward to your success in the hamlet of Baldwin.”

The event brought together local officials, business owners and community members for a series of ribbon cuttings across Baldwin throughout the day.
