A house fire occurred this morning at 5:45 am in Baldwin.
The police responded to a 911 call for a Bertha Drive residential house fire. After arriving, they observed flames coming from the southwest corner of the home. The Baldwin and Freeport Fire departments arrived at the home to extinguish the flames. The fire caused extenisve damage to the home.
No injuries were reported. The Nassau County Fire Marshall and the Nassau County Police Arson / Bomb Squad reported to the scene. The cause of the fire is undetermined and the investigation is ongoing.
