The Long Island Rail Road and its customers may experience minor delays on all branches during tomorrow morning's rush hour and should give themselves extra time getting to the stations.
“It could be more treacherous driving to the station and walking, than the train ride itself,” LIRR spokesman Salvatore Arena said. “Our crews will be out early tomorrow morning clearing the stations and we haven’t had any serious difficulties. We just want to play it safe with speed.” Customers are advised to drive slowly and cautiously.
The MTA is advising customers, if at all possible, to remain home and avoid traveling tonight.
