Elementary school students in Baldwin wrote cards for local American Legion and VFW posts last month.
Hempstead officials visited two Baldwin schools on Jan. 30 to collect Valentines for Veterans cards. These cards were delivered to local veteran organizations in appreciation of the men and women who served the country.
