AOH Feis & Festival
Experience all things Irish at that most traditional celebration of Irish dance, music, piping, drumming, language and athletics, known as a feis, presented by the Nassau County Board of the Ancient Order of Hibernians. The 18th century tradition lives on in Nassau County, where the AOH’s eight strong divisions join to organize competitions of dance and piping and present awards to the best. There are competitions in Irish singing and art as well, games for children, and much more. Enjoy a day chock full of activities.

Faire Days
There’s still time to take a journey back to the days of 14th Century royal revelry at the colorful Medieval Festival on the grounds of Sands Point Preserve. The popular event features knights in shining armor, medieval archers and kings and queens. The day begins with a procession of the Royal Court to the viewing stand, where knights battle for entertainment of the king and queen. Knights on horseback thrill the crowds with jousting behind Hempstead House, along with period entertainment, and more fun and games throughout the weekend.
