For the second year in a row, W.T. Clarke High School had four students selected for the New York State Summer School of the Arts School of Orchestral Studies.

These talented students were selected by audition from several hundred applicants throughout the state. Students in this prestigious program spent four intensive weeks in Saratoga, rehearsing and studying with members of the world-renowned Philadelphia Orchestra. Graduates of the program fill major orchestras throughout the world. The students’ summer ended with a rousing performance at the famous Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC) amphitheater.

Clarke’s participants were Marissa Ferreira (viola), Jordi Ariel Lotito (violin), Katy Luecken (cello) and Patty Luecken (trumpet). In addition, Gouri Sadananda (flute) was chosen as an alternate.
