A 13-year-old boy was injured after the electric bicycle he was riding struck a parked vehicle in East Meadow on the afternoon of Sept. 2, according to Nassau County police.
Police said the boy was riding west on Hempstead Turnpike at 5:10 p.m. when he struck a stationary 2026 GMC in the parking lot at 2174 Hempstead Turnpike.
The boy suffered several cuts and pain in his arms and knee. He was taken to a nearby hospital for evaluation and treatment.
The driver of the GMC remained at the scene. No other injuries were reported.
