East Meadow schools closed on Thursday

The East Meadow School District has decided to close school again on Thursday because of the inclement weather.

The announcement was made on the district Web site on Wednesday night at 10:21 p.m.

All after school and evening activities scheduled to take place in district buildings are canceled as well, according to the district's statement.

East Meadow and Salisbury were pummeled by a blizzard on Wednesday that dropped more than a foot of snow in most areas of Long Island.
