Fair East Meadow student musicians perform in Albany

Student musicians from East Meadow High School and Woodland Middle School traveled to Albany on March 6 to perform for Music in Our Schools Month. Student musicians from the East Meadow School District traveled to Albany to perform for Music in Our Schools Month on March 6.
The concert began with a performance by the East Meadow High School Chamber Choir, followed by the Woodland Middle School Jazz Ensemble and the East Meadow High School Jazz Ensemble. The middle and high school bands then joined forces for the finale with a performance of the Charles Mingus classic, “Nostalgia in Times Square.”
To close out their trip, the students took a guided tour of the New York State Capitol.
