The East Meadow Fire Department hosted the annual Fire Prevention Day on Sunday at headquarters on East Meadow Avenue.
Activities were available for all ages. There were live fire demonstrations, educational handouts, free gifts, vehicle extrication, fire truck rides and a visit from Smokey the Bear.
