Homeless man arrested for attempted kidnapping in Rockville Centre

Nassau County Police arrested a homeless man on Wednesday morning for an attempted kidnapping in Rockville Centre.
Authorities said Isaac Diaz Tollinchi, 56, was discreetly hiding in a garbage pail when he attempted to grab a 48-year-old woman as she was entering her place of business.
The victim broke free and ran away to notify law enforcement. Tollinchi fled the scene in an unknown direction, police said. He was located near the victim’s residence and taken into custody. No injuries were reported.
Tollinchi is charged with attempted kidnapping and unlawful imprisonment. He was arraigned on Friday.
