A Salisbury man was arrested on Dec. 11 and linked to store thefts at a Levittown Target, police said. According to detectives, on Dec. 7, and again on Dec. 10, John McCallum, 43, entered the Target Store located on 3850 Hempstead Turnpike and stole assorted items, including two televisions, two vacuum cleaners and a camera. Store loss prevention officers who had previously arrested the defendant in October 2008, discovered the thefts, police said.

On Dec. 11, just before 4 p.m., the defendant returned to the store, was observed by store security officers and soon arrested by 8th Precinct officers. McCallum was charged with two counts of Burglary 3rd Degree and Trespassing. He was arraigned on Dec. 12, and is being held on bail set at $20,000 cash or $10,000 bond, according to court records, and was due back in court on Dec. 21.
