Star Wars Reads Day is fun for all at the East Meadow library

Storytime, costumes and galactic entertainment arrives with Saber Guild performers

It’s not everyday Star Wars makes it’s way to East Meadow — but earlier this month, neighbors got to experience the epic galactic tales during Star Wars Reads Day at the East Meadow Public Library.

The Cradle of Aviation joined in the fun with their portable Star Lab and other programs for the event including The Amateur Observers Society making comets. Participants in the fun-packed event were as young as 8-weeks-old.

Star Wars Storytime, table crafts, and scavenger hunts were all part of the fun and games of Star Wars Reads Day.

Many dressed up in costume for the event and Star Wars Characters popped by, courtesy of the Saber Guild: Temple of Endor.
