Juried Fine Arts and Crafts Fair

The Long Island Arts Council at Freeport, in cooperation with The East Meadow Public Library, presents the Juried Fine Arts and Crafts Fair on Nov. 29 through Dec. 1 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Samanea New York, the former Source Mall, in Westbury. If you’re interested in displaying and selling your fine arts and crafts, visit www.LIACFreeport.org and download the application form. Submit the completed form with images of your arts and crafts to infoLIACF@gmail.com. There is room for fifty vendors.

Third annual Santacon 5K Run, Walk and Roll

Dress as your favorite holiday character and join the League of YES at Eisenhower Park on Dec. 1 for its third annual Santacon 5k Run, Walk and Roll to raise money so people of all ages with disabilities can play baseball. The 5K begins at 9 a.m. at the park’s Field House near Parking Lot 2. There is $25.00 entry fee. The Walk and Roll begins at 10 a.m. Awards will be given to the first thee places in all age categories and there will be a lot of door prizes. There will also be prizes for most original, best costume and best group costume. The event runs in conjunction with an annual Toy Drive, please consider bringing an unwrapped toy to donate the day of the race.

East Meadow Holiday Lighting Ceremony

Join your neighbors to celebrate the winter holidays at the 20th annual Holiday Lighting Ceremony, presented by the East Meadow Chamber of Commerce and East Meadow Council of Community Organizations, on Dec. 5 at 6 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Park “Town Square.” Come for a visit with Santa Claus and some jolly time with friends.
