Veterans in need received food, clothing and household essentials during a community giveaway hosted in East Meadow by the Nassau County Veterans Service Agency and General Needs.
Approximately 200 pairs of sneakers and socks for men and women were distributed to veterans. Home Depot and PSEG donated household supplies, while Long Island Cares provided free groceries and fresh produce.
The event brought together volunteers and community partners to support local veterans by helping meet their everyday needs. Organizers said the giveaway reflected a collaborative effort to ensure veterans have access to essential resources and assistance.
