Marine returns to East Meadow after tour in Afghanistan

Members of the East Meadow Fire Department welcomed Marine Cpl. Tommy Hind back home after he returned from his tour of duty in Afghanistan.

The East Meadow Fire Department saluted United States Marine Cpl. Tommy Hind when he returned home from his tour of duty in Afghanistan. Members surprised Hind, of East Meadow, with a welcome home celebration in October.
Hind, 26, serves in the Marine Corps. and volunteers for the EMFD.
The same week he returned home, Hind was invited to take part in a Wounded Warriors event at Roslyn High School. Hind, who participated in the Wounded Warriors program with EMFD, was invited to perform the Color Guard ceremony to kick off the event.
