Lynbrook High School student-athletes who practice off campus will have greater access to treatment and rehabilitation services through a new partnership with JAG Physical Therapy.

The physical and occupational therapy provider recently helped equip the school’s new off-site athletic training room, donating equipment and supplies intended to support injury treatment, recovery and pain management.

The new space is designed to serve Lynbrook student-athletes and teams who practice away from the high school, giving them a dedicated location to receive athletic training and rehabilitative care.

JAG Physical Therapy donated a treatment table and modality cart, along with a hydrocollator and accessories and a transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation, or TENS, unit with electrodes. The equipment can be used to assist with pain management and muscle recovery.

“This new athletic training space, along with the addition of new equipment and modalities, will provide our student-athletes with greater access to convenient athletic training services, and ensure that we can provide timely care and treatment when they need it most,” Lynbrook High School Athletic Trainer Amanda O’Sullivan said.

O’Sullivan thanked JAG Physical Therapy for supporting the health of Lynbrook athletes regardless of where they practice and compete.

The partnership is part of JAG Physical Therapy’s efforts to make preventative and rehabilitative care more accessible to young athletes. The company operates more than 180 locations throughout the Northeast and provides treatment for orthopedic, sports and soft-tissue injuries.

“Over the past 20 years, our athletic trainers and I have seen first-hand the importance of providing accessible preventative and rehabilitative care to young athletes,” JAG Physical Therapy President and CEO John Gallucci Jr. said. “We’re grateful to Lynbrook High School for partnering with us in developing this new AT space for their incredible athletes.”

As part of the partnership, JAG Physical Therapy branding has also been installed in Lynbrook High School’s locker rooms and the new athletic training room.

The company has similar partnerships supporting athletic training rooms and student-athletes at Monsignor Farrell High School and Moore Catholic High School, both on Staten Island. JAG Physical Therapy also provides physical therapy services for sports organizations including New York City FC, the New Jersey Devils, Columbia University Athletics and Princeton University Athletics.
