The Lynbrook Village Board approved contracts for recycling and bulky debris disposal following a competitive bidding process.
During the July 13 meeting, Mayor Alan Beach said the village received one proposal for processing single-stream recyclables. The board awarded the contract to AMI Recycling at a rate of $116 per ton for a three-year term with three optional one-year renewals, subject to mutual agreement.
“We received only one bid from AMI Recycling. They want $116 per ton for single-stream materials,” Beach said.
Trustees also approved awarding the village’s bulky debris disposal contract to Omni Recycling after receiving two bids.
“Omni was the lower bid at $108.50 per ton,” Beach said before the board unanimously approved the contract.
