Lynbrook High School's Homecoming celebration ended on a high note last Saturday, as the Owls defeated Cold Spring Harbor, 49-22, in front of the hometown crowd.
The Owls brought plenty of offense, amassing their highest point total of the season, securing their second straight win and improving their record to 4-3.
Senior quarterback Will O'Riordan helped lead the charge with four touchdown passes, two of them to wide reciever Jacob Knobloch. Running back Alihan Simsek and Junior running back and defensive back Tommy Potash also found the end zone, helping Lynbrook pull away for the win.
Earlier in the day, the Homecoming parade made its way along Union Avenue and Marion Street, bringing students, athletes and community members together to celebrate the occasion.
In a Facebook post, Lynbrook Kickline and Friends praised the day's festivities, from the varsity kickline performance to the celebration of graduating seniors. “Every moment was filled with Owl pride,” the group wrote, also thanking the volunteers, coaches and teams who helped make the day a success.
