In North Woodmere, Serena Zarfati, an 11-year-old Yeshiva Hartorah student, raised funds and awareness for The Longest Day by selling lemonade, ices and cookies on June 17, Father’s Day. People stopping by also had the opportunity to make tie-dye T-shirts. Zarfati took part in the fundraising to honor her grandfather, who died from Alzheimer’s disease three years ago.
