The Inwood Buccaneer Athletic Club held its annual pep rally at the Number Two School in Inwood on Sept. 7.
A gym was packed with parents and friends who cheered for the football team players, watched the dancers perform and saw the cheerleaders create those human pyramids.
This year there are more than 300 children aged 6 to 12 playing on a dozen football teams and a half dozen games. There are also four cheerleading squads with 50 girls. The football teams play in the Nassau County Youth Football League.
In addition, the youth oriented athletic club also has basketball and soccer teams.
