Convenience store robbed at gunpoint in Cedarhurst

An unspecified amount of money was robbed from the Bolla Market at 360 Rockaway Tpke. in Cedarhurst on Dec. 22 at 10:35 p.m. by a man who allegedly pointed a black handgun at the store clerk, according to police.

The man entered the store and demanded money from the employee, 32, police said. He put the money in a white plastic bag. The alleged thief headed west on foot, according to police.

Described as a black man, 5-6, 175 pounds with a thin build, the suspected robber was wearing a black shirt, a black knit hat, black jacket, black gloves, dark pants, a black bandana and sneakers.
