SULAM-LI hosted its version of the Chopped Challenge with four teams of two “chefs” who collaborated to prepare a meal in a certain amount of time to raise money for the Jewish religious school for children and young adults with special needs.
Jay Greenbaum, Dr. Ron Kaminer, Stacy Benhir, Rob Rosenthal, Alyse Levin, Roberta Jaffe, Mitchell Weiler and Barbara Hartstein were the chefs. Cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, dinner and dessert were also on the menu at the fundraiser at the Sephardic Temple in Cedarhurst last Saturday.
The Fabulous Foodies team of Greenbaum and Rosenthal won the competition, which raised $55,000 for SULAM-LI.
