Three-time NBA champion Craig Hodges, who also won the league’s three-point shooting contest at the All-Star game — 1990, ’91 and ’92 — visited the Hebrew Academy of the Five Towns and Rockaway last Sunday. Hodges, who won championships with Michael Jordan as a teammate on the Chicago Bulls and with Phil Jackson as his coach in Los Angeles, first presented a basketball skill clinic to the HAFTR Hawks varsity team and then one to the other boys’ teams Sunday morning. The school’s athletic director, Joey Hoenig, is working on bringing in a premier WNBA player for the girls’ teams.
