Chris Donohue signs letter of intent to play D-I lacrosse

Lawrence High School lacrosse player Chris Donohue signed his national “Letter of Intent” to play for Division I University of Detroit Mercy on April 27.

Donahue, a senior, who plays every position, but goalie, according to Michael Medrano, the head coach of the boys’ varsity lacrosse team, has scored 18 goals, collected 16 assists and picked up 31 groundballs this season, playing a majority of the time at attack.

“He is a great athlete, plays football, very very dynamic,” Medrano said.

The Titans play in the Horizon League and have nine Long Islanders on their current roster.
