Hebrew Academy of Long Beach students — girls in grades first through eighth — and boys in grades first through fourth — rolled up their sleeves and learned how to make the traditional Jewish bread challah at Stella K. Abraham High School for Girls in Hewlett Bay Park on Jan. 11.
The two-hour event included a special appearance by the Aussie Gourmet — Naomi Nachman — the personal kosher chef who grew up in Sydney, Australia and now lives in Woodmere.
