Three New York Islanders, defenseman Mike Mottau and Travis Harmonic and forward Niro Niederrieter, visited Hewlett Elementary School as part of Islander School Day on Nov. 1.
The program is in its seventh year and its goal is to promote education, staying physically active and the importance of hard work. The players spoke to students, took their questions and autographed cards for the children for 90 minutes.
