Lawrence Graff, former American Stock Exchange member

Posted

Lawrence Graff, a long time resident of Woodmere, died on Dec. 21. He was 77.

Family members considered him to be accomplished, intelligent and thoughtful.

He was a graduate of Cornell and a former member of the American Stock Exchange and enjoyed playing golf in his spare time.

Larry, as he was known to family and friends, was a devoted father to Sherry Graff Schreiber and Kathy Graff. He was a proud father- in-law of Jonathan Schreiber and Benjamin Pinczewski. He adored his grandchildren Kevin, Kimberly and Nicholas and always made time to be with them.

He was devoted to his wife of 54 years, Roberta (Nussbaum) Graff, a reporter for the South Shore Record for 25 of those years, as she was devoted to him. In the last few years, Larry and Roberta enjoyed their “snowbird” time in Florida. Whatever time they spent together were happy times.

Services were held at Boulevard-Riverside Chapel in Hewlett on Dec. 23. Donations can be made in Larry’s name to JCC Therapeutic Nursery,  411 East Clinton Ave., Tenafly, NJ 07670.
