Lawrence student art is on exhibit

Kindergartner Keily Saquiche Constanza and first-grader Britny Alvarado Lopez, students at the Lawrence Primary School at the Number Two School in Inwood, part of the Lawrence School District, have their artwork on display in the Long Island Museum at Stony Brook exhibit “Colors of Long Island: Student Expressions,” through April 7.

More than 50 student artists from Lawrence Primary School had their work displayed in the Community Gallery at the Long Island Children’s Museum in Garden City in February. Art teacher Anne said she Young believes that presenting the work of her students helps them use their artistic expression as a tool for communication.
