Lawrence Woodmere Academy’s Class of 2012 June 8 commencement speaker was Robin Wagner, an alumna and longtime coach and choreographer for 2002 Olympic champion Sarah Hughes and 2004 world silver medalist Sasha Cohen.
The U.S. Olympic Committee, the U.S. Figure Skating Association and the Professional Skaters Association named Wagner the Figure Skating Coach of the Year in 2002. As a national figure skater, Wagner also performed as a professional and was a soloist with the Ice Theatre of New York.
Valedictorian Dylan Thomas Phelan and Salutatorian Justin Greene addressed their fellow classmates for the last time.
