After being restarted in 2013 following a couple years of dormancy, the communities of Hewlett and Woodmere combined to hold a Memorial Day Parade on Monday for the second consecutive year.
It stepped off on Irving Place in Woodmere, proceeded up Broadway and ended at Hewlett High School. The school’s marching band, the Hewlett and Woodmere fire departments, military veterans, the school district’s Board of Education and other community organization took part in the march.
