North Woodmere house fire under control

Firefighters responded to a house fire on Talbot Avenue in North Woodmere on Tuesday.

The Hewlett Fire Department responded to a house fire at 853 Talbot Ave. in North Woodmere, officials said.

The fire, which is now deemed under control by Hewlett firefighters, broke out at about 4:50 p.m. on Tuesday on the second floor of the home, which was unoccupied at the time.
