Patricia E. Florio, 46

Patricia E. (née Rosendale) Florio will be long remembered by family and friends for her sweetness and compassion, said her mother, Patricia Rosendale, of Inwood.
Florio died on Jan. 10. She was 46.
A 1984 graduate of Wantagh High School, she earned a bachelor’s degree in economics at Fordham University for years later, where she met her husband Glenn. They were married for 21 years and had two children, Glenn and Cooper.
“She was a sweet, loving mother and a devoted daughter,” her mother Patricia Rosendale said. Her maternal grandparents, James and Eleanor Robertson and her great-grandparents Joseph and Catherine McGlocklin were longtime Inwood and Lawrence residents, respectively.
In addition to her mother, husband and children, Florio is survived by sisters Laurie Rosendale and Jeanne Stern (Richard) and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Her father predeceased her in 2011.
At memorial mass was held at the Church of St. Ignatius in Manhattan on Jan. 17.
