Lawrence High School alumni gather for reunion
More than 150 people attended the multi-year Lawrence High School reunion for the years 1968 to ’78 in East Rockaway on Dec. 10. Sharing stories, reminiscing and renewing old friendships were the highlights of the four-hour event.
A 170-photo slide show was shown on a new 32-inch high-definition television. The TV was raffled off at the end of the reunion. Guests were treated to surprise appearances by gym teachers and coaches Ed Farrell and Richard Mollo. The event came together under the leadership of John Pastor, Class of 1972, and help from Guy Tricario (’72), Maria Rizzo (’73), Robin Kern Panetierre )’73), Guy Caparelli (’69), Richie Perone (’74) and Dora Preziosa
Reo (’76).
Flush from the success of this first multi-year reunion, there is already talk of possibly another one occurring next summer, according to Caparelli.
