Lawrence High School’s Christina Mazzitelli Academy of Fine & Performing Arts and its dance department presented “Lose Yourself to the Rhythm” an evening of entertainment in the high school’s auditorium on May 22.
A variety of dances and music was performed ranging from interpretative to oldies, Zumba, contemporary and Bollywood. Audience members called the show “professional and inspirational.”
District dance teacher Laila Sales oversaw the program as artistic director and choreography. She was helped by stage manager and choreography, stage manager Nyasia Robertson, along with guests choreographers Janora Blackman, Juan Flores, Samantha Kaufman-Jones, Jamuna Mitcham and Eddie Stockton.
