Smile for East Coast Endodontics Volunteer Day in Hewlett
For the past 13 years East Coast Endodontics has offered free root canals to patients of the Coalition of Concerned Medical Professionals that has offered free medical care to patients for more than 45 years.
Drs. Evan Chugerman and Rebecca Gottlieb had fun showing a personalized sign. The other side reads “My Endodontist knows my roots.”
Drs. Pat Ng-a-Fook and Michael Feldman examined a patient using a microscope specially designed to get an in-depth inside view of the teeth.
Dr. Ehsan Farrokh prepped the patient’s mouth with an anesthetic injection.
Dr. Rebecca Gottlieb, assisted by Jackie Vazquez, inserted a rubber dam into the patient’s mouth to isolate the tooth.
In conjunction with the Coalition for Concerned Medical Professionals, Hewlett-based East Coast Endodontics performed 15 free root canals on 10 patients during its 13th annual Volunteer Day on Feb. 12.
Drs. Michael Feldman, Evan Chugerman and Rebecca Gottlieb, Ehsan Farrokh and Patrick Ng-a-Fook donated their time and expertise to provide the dental services for people in need.
