Alyssa Donnelly and Oluwafunmilayo Fajolu, both seniors, received the Freeport High School D.E.E.P. Award. The award is given to students who demonstrate dedication to community service, enthusiasm for education, excellence in character and participation in extracurricular activities.

Daniel Martinez, a senior, and Mya Smith, a junior, received the Freeport High School Excellence in Music Award for their participation in the school's music programs.

Ava Smith, a senior, and Sabrina Ligonde, a junior, were given the Freeport High School Excellence in Sport Award in recognition of their athletic work and accomplishments.

"The outstanding achievements of Freeport High School students demonstrate the importance of a commitment to comprehensive public education initiatives, and it is heartening to see our young people demonstrating leadership, embracing their talents and committing to making the world a better place," Mulé said. "It was an honor to congratulate these accomplished young people for all they have already done. I wish them, and all of the graduates, continued success in their future endeavors!"
