The Long Island Art's Council is calling for submissions for the second annual Here and Now Art Show, a curated exhibition showcasing the talents of older adults aged 60 and above.

The exhibition will be held at the Freeport Memorial Library from June 1 to June 30. Artists are invited to submit up to three pieces of artwork in jpg format via email to infoLIACF@gmail.com, with the subject line "Art By Older Adults" and the title of the artwork and artist's name and full address included in the text of the email.

The deadline for free submissions is April 26th, and selected artwork must be wired and ready for hanging.

The L. I. Arts Council at Freeport's committee will select the 30 paintings to be exhibited, and all artists will be notified of the outcome no later than May 1.

The selected artwork must be delivered to the Freeport Memorial Library on May 23 or May 24. The exhibition promises to be a wide-ranging, eclectic, and inspiring show. For more information, contact (516) 223-2522.
