Musically Inclined heats up Sparkle on Stage

The chilly spring night did nothing to cool down the hot music that sizzled at Sparkle on Stage on April 21. The crowd was in for a treat as the local band Musically Inclined took the stage and dazzled the audience with their unique blend of gospel, jazz, and funk music.

Starting out as a quartet, the group has grown in numbers, adding more members and instruments to their repertoire, including alto saxophone, guitar, trumpet, baritone saxophone, and trombone.

Sparkle on Stage, the non-profit cultural arts organization that hosted the event, has been on a quest to find a permanent home for years. Finally settling in at 195 Woodcleft Avenue, the new location boasts an indoor theater, complete with dressing rooms and practice space. Sparkle on Stage is dedicated to promoting local artists, and Musically Inclined is just one of the many talented groups that they have showcased.

“As we approach our one-year anniversary, we are excited to see our vision of giving a home to arts on the south shore of Long Island come to fruition,” Robyn Workman, Sparkle on Stage president said.

Almost reaching a year since their doors opened, Sparkle on Stage is all set to continue their mission of supporting and encouraging the cultural arts in the community.
