The Lighthouse Repertory Theatre Company will be returning to the Twin Oaks Theatre Building in Freeport to perform its take on “The Addams Family” musical. In addition to providing entertainment, the theater group is collecting donations in support of the Islip Breast Cancer Coalition.
“The Addams Family” musical is a comedic story that follows the titular family’s wackiness and encourages viewers to embrace their own familial quirks. The story follows a young lady, Wednesday Addams, as she falls in love with a man her parents, Morticia and Gomez, have never met.

The performances of “The Addams Family” will run from Oct. 2 to 4. There will be 8 p.m. showings on Oct. 2 and 3, 2 p.m. shows on Oct. 3 and 4 and a 7 p.m. show on Oct. 4.
During the musical’s run, audience members are encouraged to bring donations that the Islip Breast Cancer Coalition will distribute to those fighting breast cancer on Long Island. The requested donations are unscented lotions and lip balms, cozy hats, fuzzy socks, blankets and gift cards for healthcare or convenience needs, such as massages, groceries and pharmacies.
