The Long Beach City School District is a comprehensive pre-kindergarten through 12th grade district serving Long Beach, East Atlantic Beach, Lido Beach and Point Lookout along the South Shore. Reflecting the diversity of its vibrant community, the district is committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment where all students can thrive.

With a graduation rate near 97 percent, Long Beach Public Schools prepare students for success in college, careers and beyond. Students benefit from a rigorous academic program that includes Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate and dual enrollment coursework — all accessible through a self-selection process. These opportunities allow students to pursue advanced studies and earn college credit while still in high school. Long Beach also offers an array of career and technical education pathways in such diverse areas as auto mechanics, TV and film, metalworking, robotics, barbering and medical assisting. At Long Beach High School, students learn in an award-winning facility featuring advanced labs, art and music studios, a television studio, modern athletic spaces and a new Wellness Center.

Beyond academics, students engage in a wide range of extracurricular opportunities in athletics, the arts and leadership, creating a well-rounded educational experience.
