Costumes, community spirit and a little Halloween fun took over downtown Lynbrook on Oct. 24 as the Lynbrook Chamber of Commerce hosted its first annual Halloween Bar Crawl, bringing residents and local businesses together for a festive night out.

The event encouraged participants to explore some of the village’s popular bars and restaurants while celebrating the holiday and supporting the downtown business community.

Throughout the evening, attendees made their way between six participating establishments: Shannon Rose Pub, Michaleen Flynn’s, Elsie Lane, CraftU, Johnny McGorey’s and Pearsall Station.

Each location offered participants a chance to enjoy a different atmosphere, spend time with friends and experience what Lynbrook’s local businesses have to offer.

Michela Argento-Serra, president of the Lynbrook Chamber of Commerce, emphasized the importance of organizing events that encourage residents to come together while supporting the businesses that help make the village unique.

“The Lynbrook Chamber of Commerce is proud to continue creating events that bring people together, support our small businesses, and keep our downtown vibrant,” Argento-Serra said.

The Halloween celebration was part of the chamber’s ongoing efforts to strengthen connections between residents and the local business community. By bringing participants into multiple establishments throughout the evening, the event highlighted the variety of dining and nightlife options available in downtown Lynbrook.

Beyond the costumes and festivities, the bar crawl also served as an opportunity to encourage residents to shop, dine and spend time locally.

Argento-Serra expressed her appreciation for the businesses and community members who helped bring the event to life.

“Thank you to all of the participating establishments, attendees, and volunteers who helped make the evening a success,” she said.

With its first Halloween Bar Crawl complete, the chamber hopes to continue building on events that celebrate Lynbrook’s community spirit and encourage residents to support their neighborhood businesses.

“When our community comes together, everyone benefits!” Argento-Serra said.
