The Lynbrook Chamber of Commerce will hold its monthly board meeting Thursday, Jan. 8, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at The Bristal Assisted Living at Lynbrook, 8 Freer St.
The meeting is open to board members, the village representative, chamber members and prospective members. Attendees are asked to park at Starbucks.
Later this month, the chamber will host its annual Evening of Excellence, Jan. 29, from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Coral House, 70 Milburn Ave., Baldwin. Photos with government officials will be taken at 5:30 p.m., prior to the start of the event.
The gala will honor community members for their contributions to Lynbrook, including Amy Ezagui of Lynbrook Schools, Christopher Skartsiaris of the Lynbrook Police Department and Scott Bien of the Lynbrook Fire Department. Breslin Realty and Field’s Grade will be recognized as Business of the Year.
The evening will also include the installation of new officers and board members, along with dinner, live music and dancing. Tickets cost $125 per person. Attendees are encouraged to register online so organizers can provide an accurate count to the venue.
